“The short-list confirms the excellent foresight and strong innovations created by entrepreneurs in North America. By all measures, the remarkable group of companies comprising the Top 100 Short-list underlines the constant drive to innovate”
Red Herring has been selecting the most exciting and promising start-ups and “scale ups” since 1995. Finalists are still evaluated individually from a large pool of hundreds of candidates based across North America. Twenty major criteria underlie the scoring and process which include, among others: the candidate company’s addressable market size, intellectual property and patents, financing, product, trailing revenues and management’s expertise.
2015 will be remembered as a special vintage. “The short-list confirms the excellent foresight and strong innovations created by entrepreneurs in North America. By all measures, the remarkable group of companies comprising the Top 100 Short-listunderlines the constant drive to innovate,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO, Red Herring.
“The past few years have illustrated consistent growth and reach for SoftNAS as businesses in all types of industries embrace our cloud storage technology to manage and protect data in their enterprise,” said Rick Braddy, CEO of SoftNAS. “We are very excited to be a finalist in the Red Herring Top 100, as being recognized with other industry leaders pushes us even more rapidly to ensure customers have access to the most robust and secure technology.”
The short-listed companies qualify to present their winning technology at the Red Herring North America, hosted in San Diego, Calif., at the Hilton Bayfront. The Top 100 winners will be announced during a special awards ceremony the evening of June 3, 2015.
