Purposes of Collection and Use
We process personal data provided by or collected from Users on our website in fulfillment of our contractual obligations to you, in compliance with applicable law, and also to communicate with you about our products and services. Accordingly, we may access personal data to provide Users with access to our products and services; to correct and address technical or service problems; to provide you with customer and/or technical support for our products and services; to follow your instructions regarding the personal data (such as with respect to deletions or corrections); to facilitate ordering and billing on the User’s account; to comply with our contractual, legal and regulatory obligations to Users; to address legal claims and disputes, including with law enforcement bodies, government bodies and regulators; to measure and understand the effectiveness of the content we serve to you and others and present our website content in a more effective manner for you; and to protect our intellectual property, confidential information and assets. Additionally, with your consent, or where we are able to under the applicable law, we may use your personal information to inform you about product upgrades, special offers or other products, services and information (including from third parties); conduct market research; or ask you to complete surveys or evaluations. If you wish to withdraw your consent to such marketing or communication, you can do so by using the unsubscribe function in any email we address to you or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. With your consent, or where we are able to under the applicable law, we may process your location data to enable us to identify you by IP address so that we may deliver a more targeted website experience or to enable us to comply with applicable laws. If you wish to withdraw your consent to us using location data, you can do so by emailing email@example.com.
Disclosure of Personal Data to Third Parties
We use third-party service providers and products to assist us in providing products and services to Users and to regularly communicate with Users about our products and services. Such third party providers perform IT or technical support services; website hosting services; marketing and sales services; or similar services on our behalf. These third parties may access, process, or store personal data in the course of providing these services. We may also disclose personal data to our business partners, such as our resellers; channel partners; professional advisors, such as lawyers, accountants and bankers; government, law enforcement bodies and other public authorities as required by law (including under a lawful disclosure request, and to meet national security or law enforcement requirements); and potential investors, acquirers or purchasers in relation to transfers of any of our business or assets. We also may disclose personal data for other purposes or to other third parties when a User has consented to or requested such disclosure. If you wish to withdraw your consent to such marketing or communication, you can do so by using the unsubscribe function in any email we address to you or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
We retain your personal information for no longer than we need to do perform the activity for which the information was originally collected. If a User expresses an interest in our products and services, we will retain your information for up to a year after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete your information sooner, but if you become a customer we will maintain your account, and your personal information associated with the account, for as long as you are a customer and for the period of time thereafter as specified in our contract with you. If we have a legitimate interest to retain your information for a longer period of time, such as if your information is the subject of an audit, legal dispute, or governmental order, then we will retain such information until no longer required to comply with our legal obligations.
In order to provide Users with greater value, some of our pages may provide links to various third party websites. In no case is User information or ‘cookies’ provided to the third party sites. However, keep in mind that many sites do attempt to capture visitor information when browsing those sites. Once a User leaves our site, we are not able to alert the User should another site attempt to gather information from the User’s browser.
We use common tracking tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Open Tracker) to track website traffic, visits and conversion information. These tools track visitors by IP address, and no other information is gathered or tracked by these tools. The tracking information is for our own internal use for website analytic and optimization, SEO optimization and conversion tracking and optimization purposes. Some web browsers may transmit signals instructing websites and other online services to not track information. There is no standard that governs what, if anything, websites should do if they receive these signals. We currently do not respond to such browser signals or similar mechanisms instructing not to track information. You can enable or disable Do Not Track by visiting the Preferences or Settings page of your web browser.
We use a variety of security measures including encryption and authentication techniques to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of User’s personal information under our control. User contact and billing information is encrypted and secured to prevent unauthorized access.
Our site gives Users the opportunity to opt-in to receive communications from us, and as a customer, visitor or subscriber. Users can be assured that we never reveal, sell, or make available your email address or other information to anyone for any purpose other than as stated in this Policy. You also have the right to object to our processing of your data on the basis of legitimate interest. You can exercise your rights at any time by contacting us at email@example.com.
Your Privacy Choices and Access
If Users wish to ask for access, correction, or deletion of any of your personal information held by us or a change in the way we use your information, please contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org . However, we may decline requests that are unreasonable, prohibited by law, or are not required to be honored by applicable law.
Users may opt out of receiving promotional emails from us by following the instructions in those emails. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional emails, such as emails about your accounts or our ongoing business relations. You may also send requests about your contact preferences, changes to your information including requests to opt-out of sharing your personal information with third parties by emailing email@example.com.
In the event that a User wishes to make a complaint about how we process your personal data, please contact us in the first instance at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will endeavour to deal with your request as soon as possible. This is without prejudice to your right to launch a claim with your data protection authority.
This Policy may be amended from time to time, consistent with applicable data protection and privacy laws and principles. We will inform Users of changes to this policy either by email or other means.
