Survey says... 45% of SMBs Experienced Data Loss, according to Storage Newsletter

More than 1,000 SMB IT professionals responded to the survey "Backing up SMB's", which investigates backup and recovery budgets, technologies, planning, and key considerations for companies with fewer than 1,000 employees.

45% of respondents said their organization had experienced a data loss, costing an average of nearly $9,000 in recovery fees. Of those, 54% say the data loss ...

The latest SoftNAS Beta 2 has been released for Amazon EC2 and VMware users.

If you are an existing Beta 1 user, you only need to apply a software update to pick up the latest updates. To apply the updates, use the Settings > Software Updates menu.

For new downloads, Beta 2 is now available for download for VMware platforms.
